The Team

The Sonning Common Community First Responders' team is made up of four people (more photos to come shortly).

Chris Brook is the team co-ordinator and has been part of the team since its inception at the end of 2008. Chris lives in Kidmore End with her husband, four chickens, and Dillon the dog.
Apart from First Responding Chris is a Pilates teacher and practices Sports Massage. She is also a walk leader for Sonning Common Health Walks and gets involved in much of its organisation. She is also a keen gardener.

Adam Negus lives in Sonning Common and joined the team in 2011. More info to come.

Sue Abbott was born in Nottingham and moved to Sonning Common in 1993 with her husband Mark and their 5 month old son.  Sue gave up her job as an IT Software trainer and enjoyed the challenges of a new home, house, baby and a husband with a new job.  She met friends through the National Childbirth Trust and trained as an antenatal teacher and conducted many classes around the Henley and Sonning Common areas.  During this time two additional members of her family were born, and she taught Cycle Training to children and joined a start-up committee of the successful On Your Bike Sonning Common family cycle ride, raising money for Sue Ryder and the Air Ambulance.
Sue ran a successful coffee shop in Sonning Common for a number of years and joined the Community First Responders team in the Spring of 2015. She is an active member of Reading and South Chiltern Bee Keepers Association and likes walking, skiing and helping her daughter look after her horse.

David Ross lives in Sonning Common and joined the team in the Autumn of 2015. Previously he was a First Responder in Wokingham. More info to come.
